This policy explains what information cfoembedded.com collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with and the choices you have. CFO Embedded is a bookkeeping and profit coaching practice based in Dallas, Texas.

We collect only what we need to answer you, send what you asked for and keep the site running. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Numbers you type into our calculators stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Free resources. When you ask for a resource, we collect your first name, your email address and which resource you asked for. Our email provider, [EMAIL PLATFORM], handles this for us.
Booking a call. When you book a call, we collect your name, email address and the answers you choose to give: business type, yearly revenue range, how far behind the books are, and your main question. Our scheduling provider, Google Calendar appointment scheduling (Google LLC), handles this for us.
Emails and calls. Whatever you choose to include when you contact us.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to see how people use the site: pages viewed, time on page, the website that sent you, device and browser type, and approximate location (city level). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this traffic data.
Security. Our security software, Wordfence, records IP addresses and visit details to block attacks and spam.
Hosting. Our web host, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
The Pay-Yourself Calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored by us. If you choose to email yourself a report, we only collect your name, email address and the resource name, as described above.
To send the resources and emails you asked for; to schedule and prepare for your call; to reply to you; to understand which pages help people so we can improve the site; to keep the site secure; and to meet legal obligations.
Only the service providers that run the site for us, and only for that job: Hostinger (hosting), Google (analytics), Defiant, the maker of Wordfence (security), [EMAIL PLATFORM] (email), Google Calendar (scheduling) and [CLIENT PORTAL] (client documents). We may also share information when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To stop Google Analytics collecting your visits, install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for responding to it, so this site does not change what it does when it receives one. The choices above still work.
If you become a client, your financial records are handled in a secure client portal, never on this website, and under the terms of your engagement letter.
Email list details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Call booking details: as long as we need them to prepare for and follow up on the call. Analytics data: for the period set in our Google Analytics account. Security logs: as set by our security tools.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask for a copy of it, by emailing tim@cfoembedded.com. We will reply within 45 days.
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. If you are still unhappy, you can contact the Texas Attorney General. People in other states may have similar rights under their own laws, and we will honour them the same way.
This site is for business owners. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
The whole site uses HTTPS, we keep its software up to date, and we limit who can reach the information we hold. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send financial documents through web forms or ordinary email.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and note significant changes here.
